Review by Claire Williams
INFINITAS are a fantasy infused, melodic metal band from Switzerland.
A blend of tantalising melodic violin alongside a strong metal Guitar riff, this really is a cocktail of musical genius.
Sharing the stage with the likes of Alestorm and Butcher Babies they deliver a show that is full of energy and passion taking fans “far away from everyday life into a world where everything is possible.”.
To add to their ever growing musical history they have also worked with Chrigel Glanzmann, vocalist from ‘ELUVEITIE’, who featured on the track ‘Tiamat’ from their 2019 album ‘Infernum’.
INFINITAS started out with their first EP back in 2015 and have really progressed releasing their Debut album CIVITAS INTERIUS in 2017, which was later remastered in 2019 and INFERNUM which was released thereafter in 2019.
“Each song tells a story of a Demons Wreaking havoc in the fantasy world.”
Fans of Mythology, Fantasy and Sick Vocals should check out new single Xana, which will be released 8th March 2023.
Complete with a backstory that really brings the music to life.
“Xana – a being from Asturian mythology. Xana appears as a beautiful young woman who lives in the woods, near a spring. In the morning she walks to her spring to bathe in the ice-cold water. It is said that everything that is whispered to Xana during her bath becomes true. Be it a wish or a curse. Positive, as well as negative.”
Their energy and talent really shines through as they take you on a mystical journey that will leave you wanting more.
I am personally a real fan of songs that tell a story, XANA really invokes this and does not disappoint.
I'm in love with the art work which is as visually pleasing as their music is audibly pleasing.
This track is well written and produced with vocal transitions that are smooth and controlled.
It really does transport you to a fantasy world.
There is a great deal of thought and imagination that has gone into this track, I cannot wait to see what they bring for future releases.
Guitar, Bass and Virtual melodies all come from the talented musical skills of Selv Martone, which really does add the the melodic tone of Savannah Childers’ Violin, throw into the mix the rhythmic talents of Piri Bertschart and you are on for a full on infusion that tickles the brain.
Xana brings together Folk, and Symphonic metal to give a truly immersive experience.
It has always intrigued me how someone with such angelic vocals can switch so seamlessly to the demonic metal cries we all know and love.
Watch XANA here:
Mary Crane on lead vocals really brings the track to life and succeeds in both Clean vocals and Powerful Growls.
I'm really impressed with the sound and the look this band has.
Their costumes are as put together as their sound, they really do project their fantasy styling into the music they produce.
I wanted to give a full review and critique here however I don't think there is anything I would change on this track, it truly hits the spot.
I am excited to hear more from INFINITAS and can't wait to see what is next..
Seriously go check them out.
Tour Dates will take them to Rockharz Open Air- Ballenstedt Germany,(6th July)
Metal days- Velenje, Slovenia (2nd Aug) and Swiss Rock and Metal Festival- Amriswil, Switzerland.(7th October)

Meh, I don't think these are good at all. If you think this is good music you might need an ear cleanse. Just sayin.
Amazing review for an amazing song🤘
Great Review! Thank you for this, this sounds amazing! Good & interesting band!🔥
This is insne! Never heard a band like this. So familiar and different at the same time. I really love the heavyness of the guitar and also the fast beats of the drums. The vocals and the violin are a perfect match in addition. Well done guys.
Wow! This track is on point! It's just something totally different. I didn't expect. And how the singer Mary Crane switches the cleanvocals and the growls, is just amazing! WOW! What skills! Go and check them out. You will not regret it! I will listen it over and over again!
