Sarcator return with a maelstrom of aggression and dark energy with latest release Swarming Angels & Flies.

Starting off proceeding with dominant basslines, swirling solos and thunderous drum patterns is the pulverising Burning Choir which really sets the tone for the rest of the release and blends into latest single Comet of End Times effortlessly.

Vocalist Mateo Tervonen shares about the single:“Comet of End Times is where the dynamics we like to work with become the most present, especially within a song itself. It throws you around between different soundscapes, shifting from total death metal worship to Sabbath-grooves while maintaining a unique flow to it that ties everything together and makes it work very well. A strong pillar of the album.”

The band then Move into title track Swarming Angels & Flies with a purposeful urgency and is flooded with maniac soundscapes. This is complemented with a shift in tone with a more of an old school heavy feel on The Deep Ends.

Even more eclectic tones forge ahead with Where The Void begins, and its seven-minute duration really pulls in the opportunity for experimentation and musicianship. This does not last for too much longer before Sarcator return to blistering form on follow up track The Undercurrent

The hypnotic vibe on Closure serves as a great interlude piece and its instrumental construction heads into final track Unto Sepulchres with a foreboding nature before all hell is let loose for one final time with razor sharp precision.

Overall, a great listen packed full of elements that forge on and on entrapping the listener in an amalgamation of fury.
